Twin Cities get a hoot-n-nany, or is that a ho-down?

Go (Mid)West young man...
Hot off their complete and utterly grotesque attempt (that actually worked) to squeeze the last drop of political capital from 9/11, the GOP decided to stop spreading the news and GOP officials announced today that the Party's 2008 National Convention will be held in St. Paul, Minnesota at the Xcel Energy Center (Go Wild!). For all of you GOP faithful, mark September 1-4, 2008 on your calendars as the date slated for the convention. Many GOP faithful assumed Cleveland, Ohio would get the nod for the 2008 election, but Republican strategists felt the "political punch" from the "media markets in Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin" (considered "battleground states" in the next Presidential election) would be better in the Twin Cities, besides, do you really think the GOP would hold their National Convention in the newly anointed poorest large city (Cleveland) in America? Seriously Cleveland, you need to wake-up and smell the political coffee. Paris Hilton doesn't party in the hood and the party of Millionaires doesn't party in the poorest city in America!

For the Democrats, either New York or Denver will be the prime spot for the full kegger out at the moon tower for the DNC (read: party for the people) but it seems the Dems are holding off for a nod from the Bushido on where to throw down. My question, how bad do you want the Bushido to visit Milos?
