It wasn't a win for the Gamecocks, but it was a Victory!
The Bushido gives a special hats off to Steve Spurrier and the South Carolina Gamecocks tonight. Although they came up 5-yards and one touchdown short, they showed that the Cocks are back in business and they are playing as a team! As we already knew, Syvelle Newton can throw and he can scramble. Newton showed that he is the man for the QB job. I will be the first to admit, my previous post was a total crap-shoot, I had no idea the Gamecocks would play as well as they did. That being said, the rest of the season is now wide-open for the Gamecocks. They will take at least take two of the three games between either Rocky Top, Cle(p)son or during the Visor's return to the Swamp.
A tip of the visor to the guys in Columbia tonight! The Gamecocks played well, played as a team and showed they wanted it. Although, FOB Craig was against the last call coming from the "old ball coach" it seemed apropos at the time-it was the only 4th down conversion either team did not win during the game and the Cocks had the momentum to go balls deep! A special tip of the visor to the Cocks on D! The South Carolina Offense did not have a chance to take the field during the entire 3rd Quarter and the Defense still held strong against the #2nd ranked team in the country.
