The Raconteurs
The new Indie-Super group consisting of Greenhornes bassist Jack Lawrence and drummer Patrick Keeler, Brendan Benson on guitar with Jack White on guitar and vocals called The Raconteurs is pretty "steady as she goes". The Raconteurs first album "Broken Boy Soldiers" on the Third Man Records label is remniscent of previous hits by White with the Stripes and his contemplation w/ Keeler and Lawrence on Loretta Lynn's "Van Lear Rose".
What is a Raconteur? Old Man Webster calls it "a person who excels in telling anecdotes." The Bushido defines it as the birth of a sh-crap hot, new Indie band. If you want to check out their AOL podcasts featuring acoustic tracks of "Blue Veins", "Yellow Sun" and "Steady as She Goes", click here.
Link Notes: The first link is for the band's MySpace, the second is for their video. The third link takes you directly to their old school Commodore (computer) styled web-site. The final link is for the AOL podcasts studio.
