Braves win against the Padres


Jeff Francoeur hit the game winning homerun in the bottom of the 8th tonight to break the 4-4 tie and add another win for the Braves ball club. The Braves, to much heart-ache, lost two games to Philly, but finally broke their losing streak tonight at Turner Field. Oscar Villarreal notched his 4th win and Chris Reitsma earned his 4th save.

Next Game
The Braves will play their second game of the three game series Saturday against the Padres @ 7:05 pm. On the mound for the Braves will be John Smoltz (0-1, 6.75 ERA). Jake Peavy (1/1, 7.36 ERA) will start for the Padres.
