Who will the Dolphins choose?

Many of you Dolphins fans out there, who suffered through numerous seasons of watching "hope float" away from you since the glory days of #13 led the teal and orange, this week has been one of complete and utter endurance of anticipation. Who will be the next "Miami Sound Machine" the Dolphins choose to turn the team around and let the music move you into the playoffs? (Photo compliments of the Palm Beach Post)

I say go with the most "offensive" guy. Defensive-coordinator Dom Capers was in the hunt for the job, but he inked a deal to stay at his current position this week. And why not? He absolutely stunk when he headed the Panthers and the Texans, but he has produced a defensive unit ranked 4th in the league while at Miami. It seems the Dolphins have their defensive act together, but they only put an average of 16.3 points on the board per game (the lowest since their 2nd season in the league back in 1967) that is why, I think Miami will head in another direction and find an offensive-minded candidate to fill the shoes left unfillable since Don Shula walked the side-lines for 26-years for Miami-establishing himself as the winniest coach in NFL history (347 wins) and producing a glorious sun-tan.

Announced today, Marty is staying and the Chargers are staying at home, San Diego's offensive-coordinator, Cam Cameron had his 2nd interview with Wayne and the Dolphins this week. Cameron held his alma-mater's head coaching job @ Indiana but with not much of a record other than grooming Randel-El for the pros, but he has done wonders with the talent he had in San Diego. I would be doubtful to see Chan Bailey leave Georgia Tech and I am not quite certain that he would "fit" at Miami. Atlanta's former coach, Jim Mora has also talked with the Dolphins, but we have to wonder how much of an impact he would have after not being able to get the job done for the "Dirty-Birds". Perhaps Mora would be a better suit for the University of Washington. That leaves Cam up against our last candidate, Mike Shula.

Mike Shula would be an interesting candidate for the job. Apart from the "Tusculoosa Shuffle", he would give the "ball-boy to head coach" story that Miami just might need. Shula has the experience (15-years as a NFL assistant), a winning record at Alabama and he is a loveable son of Florida, having been an offensive-coordinator for the Bucks and a QB coach for the Dolphins. It may also hope that his Dad and Dan Marino are both advising the team on their selection. Btw, how come Darius "Hootie" Rucker hasn't been asked to come in? Hell, the Dolphins have been making him cry for years, I am sure he would know who would be best suited for the team.

I think the Dolphins will go with Cam Cameron. He has the mind, experience and a unique almost stuttering name, with one rolling-R, that would sound gorgeous coming out of Eva Menedez' mouth. My pick is Cameron, but I'd like to hear from you. Leave your suggestions-predictions in the comment section.
