The AP is calling the close race between Democrat Jim Webb with 1,172,461 votes beating incumbent and son of former Washington Redskins coach, Sen. George Allen. How close was it Bill? Yep, that close, but taking a page from the President's book (it's a pop-up book for you home gamers) Democratic candidates Claire McCaskill (takes back Harry Truman's seat) by announcing her victory before all of the votes were counted and Jim Webb announced his victory last night after his opponent went to bed. And now the balance of power is restored!
