Etta James on ACL tonight!

Jazz matriarch and legend Etta James will be on Austin City Limits tonight! Born Jamesette Hawkins in Los Angeles on January 25th 1938, James influenced countless female artists from Tina Turner to Janis Joplin. A soulful singer who fought a rough life filled with drug addictions and the assorted racism of the 50's and 60's, James knows how to bring down the house and I tell you, "I'd rather be a blind girl than to see her go".
